We are delighted to announce the launch of AFA Healthcare’s latest community support initiative — the Caregiver Empowerment Programme, developed and delivered by our dedicated multidisciplinary team (MDT).
This programme is completely free and designed to support caregivers by strengthening both the healthcare system and the individuals who depend on it. While we may not be able to reach everyone, our goal is to make a meaningful impact by providing valuable guidance across a wide range of topics, including Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Acquired Brain Injury, Mental Health Challenges in Children and Adolescents, Adult Mental Health, and essential Self-Care for Caregivers.
The Caregiver Empowerment Programme aims to equip caregivers with the knowledge, confidence, and practical tools they need to navigate their roles effectively. It promotes awareness, understanding, and access to helpful resources, while also sharing self-help strategies and techniques that can be applied in everyday life.
Most importantly, the programme seeks to reduce the sense of isolation and helplessness that many caregivers experience. It acknowledges their challenges, validates their efforts, and supports them in building resilience and a stronger sense of control.
Our team has invested significant time, care, and expertise to ensure that this programme meets the highest standards. It has been thoughtfully designed to reflect the diverse responsibilities caregivers manage both inside and outside the home.
The Caregiver Empowerment Programme is available in a convenient PDF format, allowing you to read at your own pace or listen on the go.
