AFA Healthcare MasterChef Final Showcases Talent on World Food Day

In celebration of World Food Day on 16th October, AFA Healthcare proudly brought colleagues together for an exciting and memorable milestone — our inaugural MasterChef Competition.

Team members from across the organisation were invited to share their favourite recipes and signature dishes, showcasing both creativity and cultural diversity. From an outstanding pool of entries, a select group of finalists was chosen to compete in the highly anticipated final round.

Our distinguished panel of judges — Jemima Kennedy, Director of Supported Living Services, Margaret Finnegan, Head of Catering, and Laura Jones of the Talbot Hotel Group — carefully evaluated each dish based on originality, quality of ingredients, and presentation. The judges praised the exceptional standard of the competition, remarking that many of the dishes were of true restaurant-quality.

A Highly Commended Award was proudly presented to Dragan Soric (Eden Hill / Cedarwood) for his beautifully crafted Fruit Tiramisu, earning a well-deserved prize of €200.

Following the judging, attendees were invited to enjoy the dishes, creating a warm, engaging, and celebratory atmosphere where colleagues could connect, share, and appreciate one another’s talents.

The MasterChef Final proved to be a resounding success — a perfect tribute to World Food Day that celebrated not only culinary excellence but also the rich diversity, passion, and community spirit within AFA Healthcare.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated, our talented finalists for their remarkable efforts, and our judges for their invaluable time and expertise.
